A few days ago a few episodes of season 3 of Korra were leaked and I was quite tempted to make a breakdown of the screen caps but decided to wait a bit and lo and behold nickelodeon have now released a proper trailer for the upcoming season of Korra and boy does it look good. The trailer has teased many new characters as well as some familiar faces. The trailer even without dialogue is more than enough for fans to swoon over while we wait for the series to come to air.
Among the returning characters are Korra who is now refining her airbending, Asami who is pretty much Avatar's version of batman with all her tech, Bolin and Mako who aren't featured much in the trailer besides some bad ass fight scenes. We also have older members of team Korra such as Tenzin and his family, Lin Beifong and a ghost from the past; ZUKO! who makes a spectacular appearance on a majestic dragon. Fans of the original will notice that this season we will be revisiting a future Ba Sing Se!
In addition to the core group we have some new faces joining the crew including an airbending street rat. You read that right other people besides Korra and Aang's bloodline can now airbend which is a direct cause of the spirit portals being opened in the finale for season 2. We can't really grasp where this season is going to go from this trailer but one thing is for sure the villains look amazing.
It is confirmed so far that the villain group consists of an evil scarred Airbender (the leader), an earth bender who seems to be able to create and control magma, a water bender who has no arms so substitutes them with water bending prosthetics and last but not least combustion woman. As you can see the villains all control one element each which means Team Korra is in for a fight.
